PhpWebGallery Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

PhpWebGallery is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sanitize input before displaying it to users of the application. An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Mitigation:

Input validation should be used to ensure that untrusted data is not allowed to be included in dynamic content.
