Media Search Engine Script – SQL Injection

An attacker can exploit a SQL injection vulnerability in Media Search Engine Script to gain unauthorized access to the application and its data. The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied input in the 'search' parameter of the 'search.php' script. An attacker can send malicious SQL queries to the application, which can be used to access or modify the application's data, or even gain access to the underlying system.

Mitigation:

Input validation should be used to ensure that untrusted data is not used to construct SQL queries in an unsafe manner. Parameterized queries should be used to prevent SQL injection attacks.
