PlayMeNow Malformed M3U Playlist WinXP Universal BoF
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in PlayMeNow media player versions 7.3 and 7.4 on Windows XP Pro SP2/3 & Home SP3. The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling specially crafted M3U playlist files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted M3U file with PlayMeNow. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

Upgrade to the latest version of PlayMeNow media player.
