Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Cisco Unified Operations Manager

The vulnerability allows an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user, potentially leading to the theft of authentication credentials and other attacks.

Mitigation:

Upgrade to Cisco Unified Operations Manager version 8.6 or later.

Cisco Unified Operations Manager is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

This issue is being tracked by Cisco Bug ID CSCto12712.
