IBM AIX netpmon elevated privileges exploit

This exploit is used to gain elevated privileges on IBM AIX systems. It uses a buffer overflow vulnerability in the netpmon program to inject a malicious payload into the environment variables. The payload contains a shellcode which is used to execute arbitrary code on the system.

Mitigation:

The best way to mitigate this vulnerability is to update the system to the latest version of IBM AIX and apply all security patches.
