IBM Tivoli Business Systems Manager Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
IBM Tivoli Business Systems Manager is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Mitigation:
Input validation should be used to ensure that untrusted data is not used to generate dynamic content. Additionally, applications should use a secure method to store and transmit authentication credentials.
