Oracle 10g R1 xDb.XDB_PITRIG_PKG.PITRIG_TRUNCATE Buffer Overflow
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Oracle 10g R1 xDb.XDB_PITRIG_PKG.PITRIG_TRUNCATE. The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the handling of the 'PITRIG_TRUNCATE' procedure. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by passing an overly long argument to the procedure.
Mitigation:
Oracle has released a patch to address this vulnerability.
